Women and Girls golf at Kings
Kings Golf Club is committed to growing participation in golf among women and girls.
We are developing an active women and girls group through a range of activities including:
- taster sessions
- coaching blocks series
- girls golf club summer camps
- introductory mini competitions
- volunteer opportunities through Highlife Highland
- Social and fun events
which provide fun and accessible pathways into golf participation and membership. You can see what coaching sessions we currently have available at Scottish Golf.
As a signatory to Scottish Golf’s ‘Women in Golf Charter’ Kings Golf Club is committed to working towards a range of objectives including:
- Strengthen the focus on gender balance and provide a united position for the golf industry
- Commit national federations and organisations to support measures targeted at increasing participation of women, girls and families in golf
- Call upon signatories to take positive action to support the recruitment, retention and progression of women working at all levels of the sport
- Set individual targets for national associations for participation and membership and reporting progress annually
- Develop an inclusive environment for women and girls within golf
Scottish Golf is supporting Kings Golf Club by part-funding a dedicated Women and Girls Golf Coordinator, Jill McNicol.
